Bike Walk Helena: Making Helena a more pedestrian and bicycle friendly community

Montana Commuter Challenge Starts June 1!

Join the friendly competition to see who can bike, walk, or ride transit to work the most during the month of June. Each year we receive multiple requests that the Commuter Challenge take place in June so we listened and are trying this for 2018. Rally your friends and co-workers and plan to leave your car at home to walk, bike, or take transit.

We are partnered with the Friends of Centennial Trail (FOCT) and a local chapter of Bike Walk Montana.

Bike Swap and Expo: The 2018 Bike Expo has been canceled.  We hope to bring it back again in 2019.

Safety is everyone’s concern- cyclist, pedestrians, and motorists all need to know and follow the rules of the road.

About Bike Walk Helena

Bike Walk Helena works to highlight existing cycling and pedestrian infrastructure, educate travelers, promote biking and walking, and build momentum toward enhancing biking and walking opportunities in Helena.

We are striving to make Helena a more pedestrian and bike-friendly community. The rewards of this initiative will be enormous: less traffic congestion, fewer greenhouse gas emissions, more recreational opportunities, more commuting options, better safety, and improved health.
